I don’t think people really see like that anymore, (if that were the case we’d see more of that in Fan Art and FF). I think it’s more that people genuinely do like Luna more.

Yeah, I don’t get people who still see her as that, it’s pretty boring. Luna Eclipsed was much better than the “baaaaw my sister hated me and banished me because she’s a tyrant and NOPONY UNDERSTANDS ME!” fanon that people made and seem to continue to love her for.
 
I like Luna, just not that Luna.

I think this is a remaining thing from the whole emo Luna/Woona thing that people like to think. On the same token of those who think Celestia’s a tyrant.
