It’s as if the fandom just picks out a random bg pony to give all this attention to, even though other deserve more.
Like, the pony in my profile pic (Bubblegum Blossom) even had a speaking line and nobody gives a shit!
I think part of the issue is that Lily Longsocks is overshadowing the other background ponies from this episode
I know but wasn’t Sparkleworks left out in Gen 3.5? (Not the Newborn Cuties crap)
And Scootaloo has like the exact same color palette.
I don’t think she’s caught on enough to have that many people feel the need to call her anything, sadly. I don’t get it, “Tote Bag” gets a name and 26 uses, and the pony standing next to her doing the same thing is forgotten even though she’s colored like Scootaloo and has balloons. That’s the sorta thing that makes you legendary among one-shot background ponies, I thought. I’d like it if we did call her Sparkleworks, though.

No, there was a G3 earth pony Scootaloo and she was best friends G3 Sweetie Belle. (No Applebloom though.)

People need to stop assuming and making up hadcanon’s that vaguely similar colors = Related! As the show has contradicted that several times, and important ponies almost never start out as incidental BG ponies first…
