Okay okay so I’m a big fan of and s artwork and they both have their own characters as the next gen of the MLP:FiM mane 6 and I love them a bunch. You guys should go check it out, it’s cute as hell.
 
bUT ANyway, I made some of my own next gen characters just for fun last night, and I kept myself entertained at work today by building the characters up a bit, but here we go, from top to bottom:
 
Entrophy “Enna”:  
Parents: Fluttershy and Discord  
At first you would think her personality came straight from her mothers shyness, but Enna’s quiet nature is due entirely to low self confidence. She loves both of her parent’s very much, but she also knows that her appearance is very different than the average pony is used to.  
She much prefers to use her magic to keep the harmony and balance of nature, much to Discords disappointment.
 
Tanzanite “Prince:  
Parents: Rarity and Spike  
He was born with a horn from his mother and wings from somewhere in his fathers family. Rarity almost had a heart attack, thinking maybe she had given birth to royalty, but after consulting Twilight, it was determined that the mix of dragon and unicorn is what let him have both features, and he didn’t quality as some alicorn equivalent. Rarity was a little disappointed but said that Tanzanite was her prince anyway. So the nickname “Prince” stuck. Prince, like Enna, is also very aware that he looks different, he just knows he’s too god damn fabulous to let it bother him. He is a designer, like his mother, but all his designs incorperate precious metals and gem stones.
 
Andromeda “Dawn”:  
Parents: Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry  
(I’ve been trying to think of a name that has something to do with “Dawn” but I can’t think of anything that sounds pretty)  
She is magically gifted, like her mother, but not nearly as bright. She much prefers to run off and read comic books than study. Shes incredibly friendly, though sassy at times.
 
Cherry Pie “Cherry”:  
Parents: Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich  
(Some sort of dessert name? All I could think of was Peppermint Twist and that’s taken in canon)  
Blahblahblah found all the smarts that Unnamed princess right up there lost. Books are her good friends. She also loves to party, just like her parents. She’s just rubbish at throwing any. She’s been so busy studying to try and figure out how to throw the perfect party that she still hasn’t found her special talent yet, because she’s convinced that she takes after her parents. Stay golden, nameless pony girl.
 
Zap Apple:  
Parents: Rainbow Dash and Braeburn  
(I need an apple themed name god daMN)  
Braeburn and Rainbow Dash compromised on their relationship, he moved out to Ponyville to be with her, but in turn their kids continued the apple-themed-name tradition.  
Dash’s first born was born an Earth pony, and was put to work with the rest of the family on Sweet Apple Acres. It didn’t take too long to figure out that his interest lied far from apples, and he took his mothers love for racing. Clearly being an earth pony puts him to a disadvantage against any pegasus racers, but it wont stop him from challenging every last one of them.
 
Honeycrisp:  
Parents: Applejack and Double Diamond  
TBH I have no plans for his character yet. Blank slate. Cute face.
