Description

Pippi longstocking was the first thing I thought of when I saw that filly, with the braids and super strength.

What does a hedgehog have to do with super strength? If that even IS her talent, cause if she has super strength and that’s not even her talent, then this filly could even stand a chance against Tirek or something.

Well, I never said I knew what it meant. Only that it is a hedgehog/porcupine.
I like the idea some have offered that it deals with the hedgehog dilemma though.

I don’t really think it’s a reference either (Pipi was always smiling, unlike this filly), but it popped into my mind when I saw her scene.
Need to find the live action show for some nostalgia trip.

Nah, the pigtails are just a coincidence. If they wanted to they would have made it more obvious, like the charlie brown reference before

Although I don’t have the source, IIRC there was an episode of Pippi Longstocking where she tried English class, and described ‘i’ in ‘Porcupine’ as a stick with fly poop on top. I believe porcupine cutie mark is a reference to that.

Wait, why did someone deleted the tags unnamed filly? Powerhouse? That’s an awful name for a filly that tries to hide her strength…

It does seem to be a reference, given the hair. They likely recolored it to make it legally defensible, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard some tales of Lindgren’s estate being quite aggressive.
