Well, I never said I knew what it meant. Only that it is a hedgehog/porcupine.
I like the idea some have offered that it deals with the hedgehog dilemma though.
I don’t understand that line of thought, but people believe her talent is having a hedgehog dilemma.
What does a hedgehog have to do with super strength? If that even IS her talent, cause if she has super strength and that’s not even her talent, then this filly could even stand a chance against Tirek or something.

I don’t really think it’s a reference either (Pipi was always smiling, unlike this filly), but it popped into my mind when I saw her scene.

Although I don’t have the source, IIRC there was an episode of Pippi Longstocking where she tried English class, and described ‘i’ in ‘Porcupine’ as a stick with fly poop on top. I believe porcupine cutie mark is a reference to that.
Had to look it up but that logo does look an awful lot like her. Weird choice when you consider that Pipi eats nails for breakfast.
