I don’t fear her getting wings, because I know Hasbro will never do it.

I don’t fear Twilight getting wings, I fear her becoming an immortal princess. The shows who schtick is the group of friends interacting like, well, friends. Even if they are different, they are mostly equal. Becoming an alicorn princess will create an unbridgeable rift between Twilight and her friends, pretty much ending the possibility of a true friendship between them.  
When was the last time Celestia ever had a get-together with a friend in the show? Would she even walk down the street to meet someone knowing he media would jump all over her? Worse still, with this blatant disparity in importance, everyone but twilight will be just a supporting character. If Twilight becomes an immortal alicorn princess, nothing will be the same. Well, unless there’s some reset button, which I’m hoping for.
