In which case, why the heck am I using a computer of a mad scientist?!
“Emotional Blackmail” refers to art that tries to force or “blackmail” the viewer into feeling sad. To use this image as an example, it portrays a sad situation, but instead of feeling natural, it feels forced, and loses all emotional impact. In other words, the artist is trying to say “you must feel sad for this pony or you have no soul”, thereby “blackmailing” the viewer.
It fails, of course.
I’m not entirely sure how this is trying to blackmail me into anything.
I mean, really.
