I think it was the annotated series that I watched that they used the low quality recording of it(they also have the screwed up Super Koopa episode).
Of course, one of the annotators used “Girl you know it, girl you know it, girl you know it” when it should Milli Vanilli early on in that episode.
Yeah, on the DVD, and such they just have the “edited” versions. (Had to edit some dialogue, and music out for legal reasons unfortunately…) But I think I did see somebody post (low-quality) video of the deleted parts on Youtube.
The “Complete Series” DVD also has some screw-ups on the “Super Koopa” episode. I heard that was because DiC’s master Beta tapes of that episode were damaged…
It’s hard to find that episode intact nowadays.
It had someone on stage pretending to sing, but really only lip synching. That’s something it had in common with Milli Vanilli.
And even then, Big Mac is completely capable of singing on his own (and has a damn fine voice too).
Also, Frank Farian (the white guy in the lower picture) was not a singer, but the producer who was responsible for that mess.
