I was actually referring to the rest of his tutorial comic. Maybe you can PM him explaining what he got right and what he got wrong.

Is it wrong that I think while this tutorial has its flaws, its at least trying? Because I kinda like it.
Don’t get me wrong, your advice for the front legs was very helpful as well. Maybe you can give the artist some critique on his tutorial and explain how to improve it with how you draw ponies?
There are the same number of bendable joints in a horse foreleg as in a human arm - shoulder, elbow, wrist, and knuckle (imagine all the fingers fuse into one giant finger).
The same is true of the back leg, you have the same joints - Hip, knee, heel/ankle, and toe-knuckle.
You can see when it’s raised there are at least 2 distinct bend points in the foreleg, and the part at the end where the hoof is curls inwards toward the body.
