Watching the episode, I could totally see this as the plot of a (platonic) dating sim visual novel if done from Sunburst’s perspective, with this as the (platonic) harem ending.

Then Twilight gets into it, but then Luna shows up, so he’s thinking this is just a dream, but then Luna joins in, so unless he spots a second Luna, it’s real, but Luna tells him it is a dream, but she’s real, so he takes what he can get, but then a second Luna does show up, so he’s disappointed, but now she’s into it and claims to be the really real one, so he takes the doubled fun, but then infinite regress of Lunas that take on the forms of every mare he ever considered attractive, so the fun starts in a stadium and the audience has every stallion who remotely resembles his father, who for the purposes of this narrative had the most common stallion character model.

Sunburst:… Wait, did my long lost, slightly disturbed childhood friend gather a harem on my behalf?  
Starlight: YES!!  
Trixie: Yes!  
Maud: Yes.  
Twilight: Of course not sil— Wait, WHAT?!!!

It would’ve been a nice touch to hear Trixie and Maud talk about the rock farm.

Decent episode, I guess. Kinda boring.
