I am talking about the fandom shipping. The fans had already shipped Big Mac with every character including Cheerilee by the time Hearts and Hooves Day was announced.
 
However, the likelihood of any canon shipteasing or shipping happening that involve a main character seems unlikely at best. The closest we’ve gotten was the little photo montage at the end of Canterlot Wedding, and it was the animators who were responsible for that happening at all.

Big Mac and Cheerilee at least got shipteased, although that shouldn’t even really count because Big Mac has been shipped with EVERY CHARACTER, so it was more or less arbitrary.

It will never happen because Spike’s into older mares, namely Rarity, and shipping foals would never happen regardless.
