Oh no, trust me I’ve see that too, it’s just that I’ve seen people who call anyone with a different opinion “trolls” far more often. The issue boils down to human stupidity and sadly there is no solution to that problem.

Oh, I know full well the idiocy that’s present, but I’m talking about blatant trolling that people take as actually representative of whatever group that they want to hate. As I said, this remains even when a shitload of said group come to denounce said troll. I can point you to references if you want, but I’d rather not, lest this section get too political.

I would say the opposite is more true, a lot of people are willing to blame the worst of actions online on trolls because it’s an easy scapegoat. People know there are trolls, but many fail to realize there ARE idiots and genuinely deranged or delusional people out there, and behind the cover of anonymity they let all that stupid come right out in the open. It’s a lot easier to think someone is trolling than accept that they really are that ignorant, and online it can be nearly impossible to separate the two. That said, mouthpiece pics are the absolute worst way to get a message across, especially vulgar ones.

Got pretty sick of people digging through comments sections, finding one troll, and decrying a particular group for it, even when members of said group gang up against the troll.
 
So whenever you see this sort of idiocy, please go and spread the word that there exist a thing called trolls on the internet for those poor, ignorant souls.
