I once finished a bag of pretzels and emptied the crumbs into my mouth. There was tons of salt in there. I will never forget the taste… My whole body contracted. For some reason I swallowed it (with great effort) and had stomach pain for the whole evening.

The Chinese used to force people to eat a pound of salt, as a method of execution. It dehydrated them, and was extremely painful.
