Yeah, I think Rarity’s reaction would be trying to convince Fluttershy that there are other options, maybe offering a little help if she wants to look into it… Also, possibly explain that promising to marry a family member when you’re young doesn’t obligate you to actually do it once you’re grown up, and that if she decides she loves somepony else, her uncle will understand.

Although a version of >>570822 where Rarity kisses Fluttershy instead of hitting her could be interesting too.

Rarity is way out of character here, and no amount of explanation will convince me otherwise. Being shocked by the news, I can see. Maybe even a little internally disgusted, you can argue for. But storming out of the house after hitting her friend? Rarity would never.
