Flurry Heart is pacing back and forth, waiting for her parents to return from a royal summit, while her sister Blizzard Heart is sitting on a bench pondering why her sister’s pacing.

Flurry: Oh, where are you?

Blizzard: I’m right here.

Flurry: grunts Not you Blizzy, mom and dad! Geez.

Flurry Heart looks out the window of the castle.

Flurry: They should have been back by now from the royal summit. I’m starting to worry about them.

Suddenly, Flurry Heart hears footsteps echo through the castle. She looks back to Blizzard to see if she was walking, but she was still sitting down.

Flurry: gasps Could it be?

Flurry immediately started running for the staircase filled with excitement.

Flurry: Mom! Dad!

Flurry’s happiness faded away when she realized it was a crystal guard walking up the stairs, but no sign of her parents.

Flurry: Um, excuse me?

The guard stops walking when he reaches Flurry Heart.

Guard: Yes, your majesty?

Flurry: Do you know where my mom and dad are? I remember I saw you go with them to the summit.

Guard: That is why I’m here.

Flurry: Are they delayed coming back home?

The guard didn’t say anything, and Flurry’s heart started to fill with dread. During this, Blizzard ran over to Flurry.

Guard: Flurry Heart, I have some bad news. During the train to the summit, a freak snowstorm hit. Me and some of the other guards managed to escape, but……..your parents didn’t make it.

Flurry Heart’s eyes start to swell up with tears.

Flurry: N-no, it can’t be! You have to be lying!

Guard: I’m not, Flurry Heart. I’m sorry.

Blizzard: Big sis, what happened to mom and dad?

Flurry: Blizzy, they’re never coming back.

Blizzard: What?

Flurry Heart hugs Blizzard while shedding tears.

Guard: But your parents are the least of your worries right now. We recieved word that the storm is heading straight for the Crystal Empire, and the Crystal Heart is gone!

Flurry: Oh no! We need to find the Crystal Heart before it’s too late!

Blizzard: Can I come?

Flurry: Blizzy, it’s not safe to go. It’s safer for you to stay here.

Blizzard: Pwease?

Blizzard gives Flurry puppy dog eyes, and she can’t resist.

Flurry: Fine Blizzy, you can come! Just stay out of trouble, okay?

Blizzard: Yay.
