So… How are women oppressed NOW exactly?

Why would anyone discourage women from going into maths or science. I know that there are still challenges in America but if sexist T-shirts “repulse” women from science like many feminists like to preach then women have no right being in those fields. if they need safe spaces, or none triggering spaces as SJW insist then we are fucked.
 
Women will prove themselves based on merit and I know that women are equally as capable as men in both science and maths given that women have won noble peace prizes for their brilliance

In no way did I suggest they should pull that quota bullshit or try to force women to participate if they’re not interested.
 
But there’s quite a bit of social pressure that discourages women from math and science. Offering women-only classes isn’t going to help with that, because they’ve been convinced they shouldn’t even consider it a real option. The solution to that is never going to be forcing it on them, because that’s just going to reinforce the idea that its something they don’t want to do and are being made to.

You do realise that they tried that in America had a women only science classes going and with in a couple of weeks had to close it because not enough women attended. Also I don’t wan’t to see more women in science I want to see more scientists in science.
 
If people only care about the gender then they are missing the point. If a male scientists could find a cure for aids was kicked out because of equality quotas I would be pissed.And vice versa if a women invented a cure to aids and was rejected because they wanted a man instead I would be equally pissed
 
Let women work in what they want to work in.

I’d like if women were objectified less, but I’d also like a general dismantling of gender roles as a whole. Paying them less and discouraging them (even implicitly and unintentionally) from pursuing careers in math and science are also bullshit.
 
But yeah, at this point most of the differences are really #firstworldproblems.

Frankly, as a guy I don’t plan to sacrifice anything at all. I happen to think we have equal treatment under the law already. I suppose that means I’d get to be part of the “thrown under the bus” category, with leadership like hers.

If you want to read it that way. I read it as “when we have actual political power, it’s our duty to make sure everyone, including men, are treated fairly, especially those who made personal sacrifices to achieve this equality.”
