Well whatever the case upon reflection it feels like the artist did a version of “so alone” meme but forgot to add the part where Twilight says she loves books.

I remember in high school, despite seeing my friends all hours of the day during and after school, I’d still feel alone on occasion not having a deeper involvement in anyone’s life and vice versa.

True but I stated it felt like an alternate universe to me because despite Twilight’s talents,intelligence and social exceptions the shows always tried to make it clear that she and her friends can always find a way to be there for each other despite any potentially alienating factors present to any character plus she has such an abundance of close personal childhood friends with similar interest beyond the mane six(Spike,Cadence,Shining Armor,her parents and of course princess Celestia)that Twilight feeling alone in a world built on close friendships feels strange. Though I suppose if given the correct context it’s not impossible.

Perhaps by alone she doesn’t mean relationships of any kind, but rather she isn’t romantically involved and feels alone despite having friends.

Sounds about right. Meanwhile, while Twilight didn’t grasp the Magic of Friendship, she did make it big as an archmage.

So I assume this is an alternative universe where the magic of friendship eluded her studies… So I guess it was up to Trixie to discover the elements of harmony and stabilize the world with friendship beams of harmony.
