people take out revenge in order to forgive others. when someone’s done something horrible, you take them down in order to ease the hatred that drives you. they won’t be the villain who succeeded anymore, but the villain who got their just desserts. unfortunately, revenge rarely leads to forgiveness, so people who seek revenge often feel empty and unsatisfied when they succeed. empathize with your enemy, seek to understand why they did what they did, and what was wrong with them to make them do something so terrible. you won’t need to take revenge then. any desire for it will fade into what you probably should be feeling for them: pity. then you can focus on what you really want, which is making the future a better place.

While Mobius was a total heel, I can’t help but support him. Sure, it takes great strength to overcome the otherwise justified anger, hate, and desire for revenge, but this guy’s got nothing left.

Oh stop. 
This isn’t revenge, it’s justice the system refuses to uphold.
