- Twilight was absolutely blessed to have her first foal. Between her rough marriage with Flash and her issues with her mother she finally felt some sort of happiness when her son came along. She hoped this would also help Flash get along with her now that they had a foal but Flash wasn’t happy that their first child ended up an Alicorn. The stress and issues his baby horse caused was unbearable but he did enjoy the public attention and media around it. Another Alicorn was born? So rare! Huehuehue he do be lovin that attention doe.
- Twilight was an Alicorn, she was strong and unbelievably powerful but.. Flash just did something to her that turned her into putty in his hooves. He’s planted seeds in her head and she can’t get him out! “Oh babe don’t cut your hair, the shorter style will just make you look fatter” “You can’t possibly be eating that, you’re filling up! You just lost the foal weight now look at you!” “Get off your ass for once and put the damn book down! And lose the glasses, they don’t frame your face right! And for Celestia’s sake get on a diet! I don’t fuck around with fat mares!”
His insults just got worse and worse. Twilight stopped eating for days at a time, her hair became long and hard to manage. She’d use magic to hide the bruises her husband gave her and to keep up her appearance as princess.
But one night she’d stumble into and horrific sight, causing her to leave with their toddler.
- While Sentry is an ass and a shitty husband he’s a fantastic dad too his son. He loves him despite how difficult he is. He may not want much of anything to do with Twilight but his son was perfect to him. He’d be a strong warrior one day, powerful, tall, and the best Alicorn male to ever exist! This child lover trait is what keeps Twilight with him mostly.
What mother would take away their child from such a fantastic and loving father??

I’m well aware that Flash is one of the more divisive characters in the fandom, but I guess I don’t get why some people make him into such a massive, insufferable jerk.
