It…really can’t be explained. The cheerleader is Candace, Chrysalis and Shining usually play nerdy tabletop games together, and the joke is about how tabletop games operate. There’s nothing to explain.

I don’t mind Equestria Girls. I really liked Rainbow Rocks, and I’m looking forward to Friendship Games in a couple months. But neither can top the insanity of EQUESTRIA GIRLS. Unlike Equestria Girls, EQUESTRIA GIRLS actually gave Vinyl a voice, which is something I guess.

My head canon is that she is a Drama Teacher in the EQG universe due to her need for attention and affection. She secretly wants to get Celestia and Luna fired so she can become the principal for even more attention.
 
Since changelings don’t really exist there and she does not feed off love she instead “feeds” off attention and feels the need for everyone to admire and respect her for the sake of her own ego. She wants to take over so she can have the ultimate power over the school and manipulate it to her advantage so that everyone will give her even more attention.
