It ALMOST works!
Sometimes a tag’s actual application isn’t…quite accurate to what the word/s of the tag imply, around here. I haven’t really seen a ‘walking backwards’ tag, so…yeah.
Also, as far as other misuses of the moonwalk tag go, a few are..hard to call misuse because hooves aren’t so easy to do a proper moonwalk animation with, and..well. Maybe a moonwalk with hooves works different, as a result. shrug

I tried to do it with luna but it looks just like backwards walking.
This is one of those times where you remove the tag itself if you want to.
