Until Hasbro officially announces a project like this, any source is considered to be fake.

I was dismissive myself at first, and I’m still not saying it’s 100% confirmed as real… but the evidence that comes up (and continues to come up) in that thread puts it well within the realm of possibility.
 
One thing there does appear to be a general consensus on, however: If it is real, it is a separate spin-off franchise that does NOT impact the core MLP:FiM show.

The fandom seems to be in a panicked frenzy right now. Anything new or different is pretty much guaranteed to set off some drama, no matter how fake it is.

Personally, any color that isn’t something you’d find in a basic crayola box. Heck, I’d support all-black if it meant not having to deal with a Pinkie Pie with inhuman colored skin.

The image itself could easily have been faked, but it seems there may be some human related aspect in the works. Similar to how fake Pokemon show up whenever someone describes what they saw, but weren’t allowed to take pictures at a new generation promo event. The starters for Gen 4 come to mind.

Yeah I think this fandom is way too quick to be pessimistic based off one image with no real confirmation or reliable source. I don’t think this is real in my my personal opinion, I think Nick Fury said it best when he said “ until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on”.
