Yipes! I was so sure they were canids that I was about to unleash an unholy rant upon you both, but I’m glad I stopped and rechecked my facts. <:)
They’re not feline or canid. They’re just more closely related to felines than they are canids. It’s a similar fashion to how human’s aren’t monkey’s, but we still share a lot of DNA.
Well they’re actually considered feline rather than canid.
Basically they’re cats that just look like dogs.
