Foiled at nearly every turn, Nitpick and his household intend to ensure Fancy Pants is out of the way for good. They hire a fearsome assassin, the same one who, fourteen years ago, tortured Petticoat and Pantaloon, Fancy’s parents, to death one night and order him to give the son the same treatment.
All seems lost for the gentlecolt as he’s subjected to several unenviable tortures. But, right before his tormentor finishes him off, Fleur de Lis, having tracked her beloved to an abandoned skyscraper, breaks down the doors and unleashes her unbridled fury at the assassin, throwing him through the wall and sending him plummeting into Canterlot’s underworld from an eight-story high drop.
Fancy makes a full recovery in hospital and, after Nitpick and his cohorts are put to justice by the Princess, proposes to the mare who saved his life as he saved hers.
The assassin was never found.
