Hey, I just won’t be a jerk to people in general. I don’t care how they treat me, but I’ll treat them better.
This is true, whenever anonymity comes into play people tend to use it as an excuse to act immorally (how often do people back into other cars in the parking lot and just drive away? Applies to real life and the internet). It makes me wonder if people are just naturally all bastards.
Well we can still apply it whenever possible. We all give each other respect and tolerance (well.. generally speaking).
The thing is, I don’t expect people on the Internet to have respect, especially since there are entire communities dedicated to ruining the enjoyment of others.
It’s more like “Apathy and moving on” than anything involving something anons/people behind GIFT never give, i.e respect or tolerance
I think “Respect and Tolerance” would be more applicable to the internet.
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to come off that way.
“Love and tolerance” just got so abused in terms of what it meant that it almost is a parody of itself at the moment. It just doesn’t work online, and never was meant to.

Yeah, a countertrolling joke is what I kind of meant.
But to be honest, seeing this phrase in October 2012 makes my skin crawl.
It’s an excellent and progressive concept, but the phrase is meaningless unless the concept is applied and practiced in everyday life.

Okay, so it’s not always like this, but the point stands.
I’d say that we are more loving an tolerating than any other fandom. We’re just not 100% perfect.
