The people who handle the website and particularly the store are not the same execs sitting in the board rooms making decisions. So just don’t take this as a sign that they’ve suddenly changed their minds on her “official” name.
 
At the very least this is likely just the site worker deciding what name to list her under, maybe even as a form of protest. At the very most it was sanctioned for the sole reason that they wanted her to be findable using her actual name so sales wouldn’t suffer.

Maybe Hasbro finally caught on that the only people who complained about the name Derpy were crazy people who complain about words like crazy and stupid.

Her official toy name in the past was _____, not “muffins”. You can see proof here in derpibooru. And it’s not like toy/captions/etc names matter. We don’t call Suri Polomare with name “Buttonbelle”, and call Pinkie Pinky, do we?

If by “in the past” you mean “43 minutes ago” then yes, they used that name “in the past.” But they’re also using it right now in the present.

Hasbro has used that name in the past. But her official name is muffins.
