“i think im slowly getting to the point where im happy with these characters.  
what you dont see here is countless hours and layers filled with different colour combinations accompanied by head-scratching, angry cussing and feelings of damn, i really like this combo, but it doesnt fit with the other characters. finding the right colours is damn hard.  
as for the story side, im still fiddling with details, but what i have so far is: this family comes into play about 800 years after lavender has died. the female pony is a descendant of fluttershy, works at sweet apple acres, has a heart as big as a barnyard and mostly cares about workers who injure themselves during work hours. probably gonna name her Band-aid. one day she finds an injured dragon out in the fields and nurses him back to health, and at some point they get a daughter named sunflower. grandpa spike is overjoyed to once more see a dracony in his life.  
name suggestions for the dragon (and possible alternatives for the mom, if you have an idea) are appreciated.”
