Yeah, I personally like the original better, really shows off the anatomy in a way I love.

I don’t know. Most of what is redone here looks like a different taste. It’s all looks great, but only as a separate art. Her spine was purposely arched, as were the highlights on the hoof. Ponies cannot do many of the things that need to be shown by design, so sometimes you have to break their anatomy a little. This is normal. But calling it “adjusted the anatomy” is simply wrong, I don’t get it.

I’m pretty confident that the back-flexing component is not the intention of the original.

In the other one she looks like she’s a contortionist showing off her muscle control and mid-back flexibility. This one looks like the bend is spread out over more of the spine rather than concentrated dramatically in one spot in the back but the bend is overall less. Arguably, this pose has better form overall when it comes to practicing stretching because of the stretch being spread out over more of the body while the other is more showing off. However, the other pose is good if you’re trying to concentrate on stretching that specific part of the back.
