Now that the third movie is no longer “eventual” so much as “upcoming”, I think it’s fair to say they’re ignoring this comic.
No clue. But the comic doesn’t even have them apologize for falsely accusing her, they just all seem to be acting like it never happened, so yeah, author is a duck,
is jim shooter on the IDW board? that sounds like what he did during the dark phoenix storyline
Let me try again: Her friends need to show her some love, and they need to be quick about it, before she starts worrying that they’ll never trust her and don’t really want her around.
She’s owed a hell of a lot more than that. Shit, I feel like I should apologize to her, on behalf of the background humans from the comic.
I was trying to not be flat-out accusatory. But yeah, I think Ted Anderson just wanted Sunset to suffer.

Even if they were your only friends? Perhaps especially if they were your only friends?
Because they literally left her without a friend in the world. They’re lucky she didn’t just give up and go back to Equestria.
If my friends exiled me like that, I’d stay mad forever.

Me, I’m working on a fix myself, but it’s something that comes after it, to address the one biggest problem, which is that the comic does not include a reconciliation between Sunset and her friends, and just acts like they’d never exiled her once her innocence is proven.
I just read it, and I think it was ridiculous. Some of it was written like it has been before Rainbow rocks, which it should have been, like
“So what do you do at a slumber party?”
And sunset’s all depressed at the beginnings, even though she has her friends and she’s been to slumber parties before. I’m tempted to rewrite it.
I hope you’re right, but I seriously think it was just badly written.
