i love the irony of a legless pony being a master crafter btw, that is sweet.
Oh, yes they’re part of her body, they’re not like shoes or anything. I think she can hold things with them like ponies can with hooves. But also she could put things on them like, tire chains for ice, or tank treads for… combat I assume.
I very much want the wheels to shape her way of life, I imagine her spinning a wood lathe with one wheel and carving with the other. She’s the finest/fastest craftpony in all of equestria.

What are you? Raciest against wheely ponies? Does everything need to fall into nice clean “earth, pegasus, unicorn” all the time for you? Can’t you love Wheelybopper for who she is?
A:
I don’t have any plan to explain why she don be wheelin’ around all the time. While working out the back story I made the joke “My dad was a pegasus and my mom was a mustang” but that’s as close as I’d be willing to get in the comic. I probably won’t get too into her backstory in the comic, I have some ideas about her youth and how she deals with being unique but I don’t expect to do flashbacks to filly Bopper or anything. Although! Filly Bopper is literally the cutest thing in the universe.
