Yeah, that, too, about half of the cartoons I watched were 80s reruns.
The 80s was still strong in the 90s and early 2000s that it sort built up who I am despite never having existed in the 80s myself.
Most of the stuff my parents bought back in those days were second hand things, such as the NES and Famicom, not to mention frequent reruns of old shows, so naturally the 80s seeped into me.
That makes three of us!
That aftertaste hung on long after even to an extent this day.
I’m a 90s kid too.
Even though I was born in 1990 and live throughout that decade, there are some 80s ‘aftertaste’ back then. Music, TV shows, tech, fashion, etc. for a while.
In fact, every new decade still feels a little bit like the previous decade.
Disco was already on its way out by the time the 80s started.
Things took a large change as soon as this century started. We’re the last ones to know a world before the internet.
Sometimes I feel we’re old relics in this era and we’re still young.

Yeah! The 80’s were awesome once you get past the disco,….the challenger explosion…the rapant unemployment…the aids outbreak… most of the Regan administration.
