I agree. Although I’ve always hated the Sparity ship, I still didn’t like how Rarity was handled in this episode.
I can’t hold it in. This episode is probably Rarity at her absolute worst. She’s known about Spike’s crush for many seasons, but then all of the sudden becomes extremely possessive over Spike just because he has a new friend? Seriously, Rare?! Her behavior comes across extremely insensitive, rude, and boarder line abusive. She acts like an abuser, and is completely clueless to her behavior, it’s downright scary.
What a way to send off the fashionista. You’re better than this, Rarity, I know you are. I’ve seen your generosity, but this ain’t it.
