I meant how they had Amy Rose change into her “older” SA form, and how the SatA.M.-style Robotnik became the modern post-SA “Eggman” design. (Though, I have nothing against updating the characters personally.)
 
I kinda like their Anti-Mobius/Moebius AU dopplegangers to though.

Are you referring to Amy and Eggman from the evil parallel world (Amy the Rascal and skinny Eggman) or the updated Archie Sonic redesgins.

I guess the way it happened, and the timing, it became like that “Ashura” glitch turning him permanently green. (Also, those scars on his chest were from Locke attacking him.) Zonic the Zone Cop made a remark refering to it as a “mutation,” or something, so it’s changed Evil Sonic/Scourge in more ways then one perhaps. So there might be “more to it,” then the way I worded it.
 
At least, it’s not as convoluted as some explanations for characters redesigns in the comic like Amy’s, and Eggman’s.
 
Also, according to writer Ian Flynn, another reason for the redesign of “Evil Sonic” becoming Scourge (artist Patrick Spaziante was the one who designed Scourge) was done to keep future writers from pulling that lame “it was Evil Sonic disguised as normal Sonic, that’s why Sonic was acting OOC” plot-twist again. (Which was getting a bit overdone in “Evil Sonic” stories.)

Really? That seems kinda weird for why that caused his fur to permanently turned green. To me that seems more like a way to cancel the energy he was absorbing from the Master Emerald and stop him from turing Super or Hyper. Its a bit farfetched, there has to be a better reason if there is.
 
Also, that’s very interesting how Scourge’s created origin was because of a glitch. Can’t imagine he’ll still exist if that didn’t happened.

It was ‘cause he was trying to power up from the Master Emerald, but got attacked by Knuckles’ Dad Locke in the middle of it, (yes, he used to have a Dad in the comic, but he’s dead now) therefore changing his appearance, and such. (It was also done to differentiate Scourge from Sonic. It was a bit confusing back when he was blue at times.)
 
Some called him a “lame recolor OC,” and such ironically not knowing about his orgins, and such. Frankly, I like Scourge better as a “recolor with a different personality from Sonic” then as a “Samecolor with the same personality only evil” like he used to be. (“Evil Sonic” kinda sucked honestly, and was always easily beaten by Sonic, though when he became Scourge he became bit more competent to me, and more sinister.)
 
Also, word is, the green color is possibly a nod to the old “Ashura the hedgehog” glitch from Sonic 2. (Google it, if you don’t know what that is.)

I once read that Scourge was once blue just like Sonic, but for some reason he ended up being green. Can’t remember why though.

Only thing I’ll criticize is the pairing/shipping, considering Scourge is a villain, and Lightning Dust as far as we know isn’t one.

Granted “Sonic” isn’t in the picture, but his doppleganger is.  
But yeah, I understand some hate Sonic, and that’s fine, but I don’t care much for “Halo,” but I don’t go around downvoting/bashing the ponified Master Chief pics, and such. If people get “offended” by Sonic pics, I don’t get why they don’t just block them.

(no but srsly i think it’s stupid to downvote a picture just because it’s sonic, i know a lot of the sonic pictures are some of the… lower-quality ones but just the fact that it’s sonic shouldn’t be enough)

Y’know, I’m going to kinda miss Scourge the hedgehog. He was the only genuinely evil hedgehog in the Sonic comic series. (Unlike Shadow & Silver who were just misguided, and never really “evil” in the first place.)
