I was pretty disappointed with the recents seasons, both s9 and s8 are bad imo but I think s7 is worth watching.

Ra8nbow is hanging with pinkie too much.

I never noticed the flow animation of Twilight’s mane till now. Looks really damn nice!

Yeah, starlight was in the mane six (seven???) by the time I stopped watching. I think I was maybe 5 or 6 episodes into season 6. I don’t remember why I fell off. I did see the movie in the theater, though, and enjoyed it a lot, despite its flaws.

That depends on why you stopped watching. If you were just taking a break and just never got back to the show, then start where ever it was you left off. If you weren’t enjoying yourself watching Season 5, then maybe it’d be for the better to just acknowledge the show grew in a direction you weren’t happy with and stay away.
 
If it was Season 6 however, that’s a little more understandable, by most people’s accounts it wasn’t a great season. I myself am a little more forgiving toward it, but I don’t think that’s a common attitude. Do you remember if Starlight was part of the main cast? Season 6 focused on her a lot after she was reformed. If you weren’t enjoying the season, I’d recommend skipping to the Season 6 finale and go from there. Most people seem to agree that Season 7 was the last really good season of the show. Most everyone is in agreement that was an enjoyable season. After that opinions get very divisive.
 
As for this episode, this is a clip show episode taking place after the show has come to an end, so probably a bad jumping on point for a lot of reasons.

Watch everything. There are still lots of good episodes, and seeing the bad ones will let you rage along with the rest of us. There is no downside.

Looks like Rainbow Dash doesn`t need bamboo reed to breath, like Starlight and Spike.

Is this a good episode? I haven’t seen an episode in years. I think I’m supposed to be in the middle of season 5, or maybe it was season 6 when I left off. I know I saw at least the first 100-120 episodes. But yeah, IDK. Do I need to go back an watch everything I missed or could I skip around at this point?
