That whole scene with Chaos is really awkward. Tails just showed his posterior to that creature and then Chaos extended his arm. It’s a little uh weird. I don’t think Tails thought that one through.

I used to be mad at Sonic Forces. But now I think it’s the greatest comedy ever. It’s like The Room of the Sonic series. It’s cringy story and characters are so hilariously terrible that they make me laugh.
 
I’ll always treasure that line “None of this good Vector thats why its called war.” And other beautiful poetry like that.

Honestly if Sonic Forces were a reboot, this would be better. But if not, you’re obligated to at least try to follow through with this development.
 
If Sonic Forces didn’t want to be constrained by previous canon, they should just make it a full on reboot like Sonic 06.
 
But if you don’t want to do that than you need to implement your characters in a way that makes sense in the previous titles.
