Perhaps the eyes are part of the brain.
 
Well the eyes being overly large in proportion was done on purpose, like floating eyebrows. Not that show-style eyes are proportional either.
 
I [think] I’ve seen even bigger do fine, in a cartoony sort of fashion. The question is, how big can I go before it starts ruining what I’m doing. Trying to push cartoon boundaries with unique features in character-by-character basis in a semi-realistic sense so it’s always been a conflicting balance to find without splitting into two different body styles.
 
So what this tells me is that the cartoon is being pushed too far if the ‘realism’ is structured in such a way it’s interpreted that the eyes are having a problem.

All I can wonder is what kind of a brain this pony has for its eyes to be of such a large size?
 
Criticism: The eyes are disproportional relative to the size of a pony’s head. The eyes are disproportionate sizes as well.
 
What I did like: Your use of the blue hashing to simulate how an iris looks and I liked the little cross-style sparkle in Pinkies eyes, as well as the use of light refraction in the iris/pupil.

Good grief and burnt rice, that’s a high downvote ratio. I get the point, don’t like it, but I need to know why so I can fix it.

Bigger eyes means more cute, scientific fact

The eyes are a little large. But: Pinkie Pie. I rest my case.
