I joined the Alliance because of dwarves…I’m always a dwarf, dwarves are awesome! And our lore just got better and better.
You seem to have wildly unrealistic ideas of how surveys work.
Its a survey, not a census.
Even with millions of players, a survey of just a couple thousand random players would typically be accurate to the whole outside of some massive coincidence. Yeah, you’re not going to get it to be truly random to the people who play unless you somehow straight up force people who are in the game to complete the survey accurately, but hey, guess what? Shit’s entirely unrealistic yo.
It’s a good start to a survery that’s for sure, but to get even better results, at least near 7.8 million need to be interviewed as I feel just a thousand that participated in the survey just doesn’t cut it.
Again, I took a survey. My responses showed that people of both factions range from under 18 to over 40, and while there were also a larger percentage of 18-24 year olds, there was ALSO fewer under-18 and more 30-40/40+ players alliance-side.
I’m sure its not 100% representative of the playerbase as a whole, but unless someone else does a similar survey with a larger base, it’s what I’ve got. Its consistant with a survey from 2013 I found while doing the literature review for the subject.
Their research was on personality profiles associated with the game, and they didn’t do any breakdown of factions or anything, and I found no sources that did (Though that might have been in part due to only checking scholarly databases) so s’the best factually researched numbers I’ve got.

I can see Horde being more into RP
But Horde being mainly built up of children? Have you played since vanilla? There’s no denying both factions have their fair share of children, but all the kids joined the alliance because of the pretty races with the humans and night elves and they loved the concept of being the heroes while the horde were the monsters, the only pretty sexy thing we have in the horde are the Blood Elves. I still remember being the youngest in alot of horde chats, and I was 19 at the time. In the servers I’ve been in, I remember the horde would always be out populated by the alliance.
I’m not mad or denying anything, I just want to know where these numbers come from - there isn’t even a graph. But I can’t see a completely accurate survey was made, especially with just three pages when there are 7.8 million players that currently subscribed.
Eh then again the more I think about it, it could be possible the Alliance has more adults now, the kids that were with the Alliance grew up - and the Adults that were with the Horde moved on.

I hate the PVP myself, but I try to tolerate it so I can get honor and get my seasonal gear because raiding is where it’s all at~
Don’t worry, I hate PvP. It bores me, no matter what the game is.
But as someone with no friends, a Hunter seemed like the perfect solo class.
Hilariously, I just finished a survey that indicates that not only are there more kids in the horde, more grown-ass adults in the alliance, but even that there are more RPers in the Horde.
ONLY KIDS PLAY AS ALLIANCE

Seriously, they’re awesome for PvE
But in PVP at Arenas or BG they’re fucking annoying. One second you’re fighting this hunter and then next HE THROWS 5 PETS AT YOU AND THEN MURDER OF THE CROWS. No shit it’s gonna kill me, but but but then he takes my insignia thinking he’s hot shit.
As a Shaman I’m like, Oh sure I can get nerfed every expansion but the hunter doesn’t?
Of course Hunters are the best class, because they’re so broken and unbalanced, they wipe the floor over everyone else.
My friends and I like to call them the Welfare class as they require almost no skill to play as and you have your pets to do all your work. Seriously, I tried the Beastmaster spec and all I have to do just is just relax.
Nowadays, we literally ginsu you afterwards, too.
Seriously. On my hotbar.
Worst class? I’ve killed over lesser insults. While soul draining. And for several years, I didn’t even get soulshards from it. Which usually meant I spent one killing you, so I had to go farm another in order to summon the lazy tank (who was usually AFK the first time), whereupon a rogue would usually ginsu my surprisingly high-hp but still wrapped in paper ass. While my group complained about why it was taking so long.
Oh god, the repressed memories are coming back…
Considering the swarm of Pets, I’d assume Stampede.
Also, Chryssi, its because you’re playing the worst class, and Fluffle is playing the best.
