Description

A.N: I’m not particularly a big fan of how the changelings were treated/portrayed in Seasons 6 thru 9, but one thing I did like from those seasons were the flashbacks that showed what younger changelings looked like. So today, I whipped up a chart that shows what I think the life cycle of a changeling looks like.
Also for those wondering, I like to headcanon that changeling queens go through the same evolution, but they have two additional stages after the fifth one: a 3rd pupa stage (which I call Omega) and the final stage where they emerge as a full-grown queen.

The second pupa would not be neccesary, as nynphs are virtually the same as adults just smaller.
I’d like to think they grow by molting, like real life insects.
A second one would make sense for queens, as they are significantly different from drones.
