That’s how I interpreted it too. Some guy was flirting with her that she was previously interested in and then after a few awkward minutes he realized she wasn’t a dude and lost interest.
I interpreted the image more like: she was hitting on a guy, but he, being gay, rejected her.

speaking as a very tomboyish person, most of them really don’t have any identity crisis’ over whether they’re a dude or a girl. actually, some of the tomboys i knew even had a few “girly” interests. i might be boyish af but never once have i felt like i’m not my own gender.
