To be fair, technically, there is no race mixing in the picture because Rarity and Spike are of different species, which cannot be mixed unless they used a genetic lab or something. In which case they could conceive a hybrid species, or a chimera, which would most likely be sterile, thus unable to produce more offspring.

Also, communism IS bad unless there’s enough resources to support it, which is why USSR fell, and which is why China is combining capitalism WITH communism before going full way with either of the two (likely until stuff like total work automation, as well as Universal Basic Income would become widespread). Context is a thing. The “Race mixing is communism!” slogan is a classic racist argument from 1950s and ’60s, in opposition to the civil rights struggle going on then in the US.
