I would assume because the whole plot is a combination of “misunderstanding” and generally being an idiot plot that relies on no one asking anyone questions until near the end.

everyone complains but for me the ending was just right, nothing fancy, no crazy over the top reasons for anything to be bad and we got to see Dash’s dad which was a fun bonus
