Thati is a curious thought. My guess that she is observing The Human Twilight and gave her the magical neckalace so that she can turn Twilight to the evil Midnight Sparkle.
Actually it’s not possible for season 5 to be done before this movie. Even with no more skipped weeks, the movie will come out before “The Mane Attraction” and “The Cutie Remark”.
Though assuming the movie takes up an episode slot, this would put the season finale on Oct 10th. The fifth anniversary of FiM.
