Description
Unbeknownst to Pterus, Night Light had made his daughter swear that when it was time for Pterus to learn how to shave, she would send the boy to his favorite (and only) grandfather to guide him through this milestone.
Well, cutting yourself on a modern razor is a bit like cutting yourself on paper; If you accidentally get the angle just right on both the razor and the skin, it is possible, but you’d need to work at it to even do it on purpose (the razor is probably way easier though; Don’t test it like you might with paper :P)
So, if you’ve never cut yourself, then either you use a consistent technique and don’t generally get the ‘right’ angle, or you have a jaw-structure that doesn’t create spots where it’d be possible.
Odd actually I have shaved hundreds of times and only cut myself once. Still have a scar from it tho but for the life of me I can’t figure out how I managed to do it. Nicked the skin just over my upper lip and shit bled like hell.
I was taught to shave with shaving cream. Now I only shave with a hot lather.
I tried traditional razors back when I first tried shaving (by myself, never had someone to help). Swore off traditional razors and shaving altogether after I nicked a strip out of my jaw. Now I just trim.
I used to love electric razors and roll my eyes at those sticking to the old-fashioned method.
Now I’m kinda tired of the electric razors breaking, given how expensive they are, AND I’m growing to see the benefit of shaving cream when dealing with stubborn spots and/or a few days’ worth of growth at once (which, of course, generally can’t be used with electric razors)
So, tip for anyone who haven’t quite settled on a shaving tool, and/or anyone who might have a son later; Don’t bother with electrics, just go with a modern ‘manual’ razor :P
If you’re clumsy enough, you’ll cut yourself eventually (I have, more than once), but modern razors are safe enough it’ll essentially be a paper-cut - both in terms of how it happens, with a usually-insufficiently-sharp object in exactly the right angle and moved in exactly the wrong way, and in terms of the cut itself.
Well excuse me Picky McPickerson
yes, you posted proof of them not shaving :P
