Nobody answered. She pricked her ears, listening for any sounds other than her racing heart and rapid breathing. She heard something. Something deep, hollow and distant, like great, overflowing masses of water. She looked up and saw stars - if the bright, twinkling points actually were stars. She felt the wind. Taught by experience, she noticed that the strands of her mane remained motionless. That wasn’t the only thing wrong, her armor was gone.
