That seems to be what the confusion was, yeah. I have no idea who Hyper Sonic is either. If it’s a character we don’t use that as a tag for him.

Richard Ian Cox was the voice.

I mentioned a miscommunication before. Seems like the two teams had different ideas of who “Hyper Sonic” was.

OP is half-joking but yeah, this caught my attention too.  
Either there was a miscommunication and they gave her a very teenage boy voice, like a scratchy version Star Tracker.
 
Or it was intentional. With the ‘inclusion’ in the last episodes I almost feel like it might be some attempt at more inclusion. Not sure what, because I don’t think trans would be right here. But something under the Queer umbrella.
 
I know Lemon Crumble has been in the background in a few episodes before but a late, easy ‘fix’ would have been to just take her eyelashes off. I imagine they checked for mistakes thoroughly in these last episodes. I can’t see something like this falling through.

Found the VA, it’s Richard Ian Cox. Does he have a Twitter? He does. Seems like Terry Klassen needs to visit the animation department more.

Okay, what is her line? Does she say ”What about everypony down below?“? Or ”Focusing on our differences keeps us divided! Villains and creatures like the windigos use that division against us!“?

Was Scootaloo suppose to do the speech for the Pegasi especially the other CMC members doing the same to other species?

Alternatively, it could be a miscommunication or lack of communication. Like the writer called for just a friendship student and didn’t give anything specific (what was her name in the credits?) and the voice team thought the animators were animating Loganberry or Slate Sentiments or somepony else.
