Fact: “Equestria Girls was a movie based on the main characters from MLP:FIM.”

Opinion: “Equestria Girls was a good/bad movie.”

An opinion is a belief, judgement, or way of thinking about something. The second example above is a judgement. You can back your opinion up with sources (with facts), but your judgement in and of itself can never be anything but an opinion.

And now you’ve just tanked your own argument. An opinion and a fact can never be the same thing and if you don’t use your feelings, you can’t form an opinion. Using sources or not, an opinion is still subjective.

Robopony, of course mine is, you pillack. I cite legit sources and never let my feelings get in the way. Try harder.

…..what about your headcanon is about everyone being a transgender and mine is born from observing the show?

Pretty accurate. Subjective opinion is fairly often treated as objective truth.

A recent exchange I had with another fan of MLP.

“I dislike Equestria Girls”
“No! You’re wrong!”
“I’m… Wrong that I dislike Equestria Girls?”
“Yeah! You’re supposed to like it because it’s like the show but it’s a movie!”
“… Why are you wearing that helmet?”
