switched from floyd-steinberg color dithing on original upload to static dithering, which is better on, well, static backgrounds like this so the bench next to Starlight no longer glows-in-the-dark (f-s is better on moving backgrounds or ‘moody’ scenes though) reduced file size too
@Amethyst_Crystal
I don’t think Starlight was ever a nerd though.
She just got this idea pummeled into her that she has to imitate Twilight to a creepy level.
@Background Pony #F0F0
Twilight Sparkle is shy of direct praise, and so tends to deflect it.
Starlight Glimmer teases her about this in the follow-up response,
by spelling out why Twilight deserves her gratitude (taught Starlight value of friendship).
RD “Guys, stop being so overly polite!”
TS “Oh! right, we’re keeping everypony up, eh?”
RD “Noo, because that’s kind of Fluttershy’s shtick?”
RD “sniff I’m sorry for being so useless for anything else…”
TS “Oh.”

I dunno, she always came across as a bit dorky and/or nerdy to me, even as a villain
(evil nerds can be pretty scary).
They’re both nerds when it comes to magic research, at least.

That fourth sentence saids Rainbow Dash, not Fluttershy (Unless RD suddenly has two personalities now :P)

@Vree
This is the danger of putting two mutually respecting meticulous nerds in the same castle together.
