Since the Beginning -

the whole “Why is x black?” thing never made sense to me.

I mean, seriously, does everyone imagine the humanized version of a character the exact same way?
we’ve seen Rainbow dash as a white girl, black girl, latino, Asian, Rarity’s been drawn as Indian, Asian, Muslim, and everything inbetween.

How the hell do you decide who’s “right”?

I don’t think whether or not a particular background pony is racist or not is the most important thing. I would like them to not perpetuate arguments that are both wrong and make it seem like anyone who’s not white needs to have their presence justified. There shouldn’t even have to be an argument about it.

On that note, I have to admit I’m not a fan of the implied Twilestia. Too much like a mother/daughter relationship to me.

Nonetheless, this artist is awesome and his/her art is awesome.

1.Goddess of the sun. Making her a darker skin does have a logical reason behind it.

2.This is nowhere near “black as they can get.”

Ok, Why is Celestia black?
Look, I have no issues with black people, but why does the artist think that the demi-goddess of the sun who has a white coat is translated to human as a black-as-they-get woman?
