Despite the localization team’s best efforts to make things serious, Carranger’s silliness could not be contained, for even the evil pizzas were no match for a simple stop light.
I did consider having her want a quesadilla then getting somehow traumatised by it, explaining her later fear of them, but decided against it. Continuity jokes are fun, but I don’t want to bog the story down too much.

your current filter.Turbo was odd from how it tried to make things more serious but used a sentai that was basically being a parody of franchise at the time, fully embarrassing silliness.
Carranger is a rather glorious example of Japan being silly.

Actully it is in the American version, Turbo was the PR season, and the sentai it was adapted from is Carranger.
It’s in both, the context is changed a little is all.
