Hoofingold: “Certainly! The magical way must be the most familiar to you. It consists in channeling your magic into enchanted horseshoes to cast spells. Because magic spells are both powerful and versatile, this way is easy to learn, but difficult to master.
 
The strength of the magical way revolves around the horseshoes. Should you know, wielding four different magic weapons at once is nothing to sneeze at! The possible combinations you can make to overcome all sorts of situations are practically uncountable!
 
But of course, no weapon is without a weakness. Certain creatures may be impervious to magic, or worse, capable of dispelling enchantments. Therefore, it may be wise to not rely on horseshoes alone… or to be a particularly fast runner!
 
On the other hoof, the physical way consists in channeling your magic directly into your attacks. Unlike magic weapons, however, learning each technique requires a lot of training.
 
Based on a pony’s strength and dexterity, the physical way depends on the body alone. It is quite simple, really; the more techniques you learn, the more powerful you become!
 
As expected, these techniques have a rather significant drawback - or so I find. You see, they require much more energy to use than any weapon. Because of this, your magic flow must remain absolutely intact. In other words, this way restricts you from wearing any equipment in battle.”
 
You remark that this is why both ways conflict with one another.
