But of course there is Grogar’s historical existence in G5. G4 and G5 share the same universe.

If these are ghosts, it must mean that there were many dead troggles in Bridlewood a very long time ago and that they haunted the forest for a very long time. Perhaps there was a battle between Gusty the Great’s army and troggles several millennia ago. We know that these are intelligent and can communicate with each other, and are just as malicious as the living. They are attracted to the sound of voices and steal the ponies’ voices, possibly to extract magic for themselves. Their fate as the rubies seemed to dissolve them as they smiled may be because they want to pass on to the afterlife from the physical world.

If this hypothesis is correct, this is further evidence of Grogar’s historical existence in G5.

They’re both adorable and creepy at the same time.

I definitely wouldn’t call them Troggles but Troggle ghosts. They are still vastly different from the troggles we knew. Poor guys never lived, but they really seem to be in a happier place.
